In a report from The Telegraph and Arseblog News, the kick-off time for Arsenal’s first return fixture against Manchester City has been announced as 8pm, London Local Time.
It will be the 2nd match of the day, following the Aston Villa, Sheffield United match at 6pm.
The announcement aligns with what was rumored to happen, but there has been no official release of the season’s remaining fixtures. The Premier League is expected to release that remaining schedule soon, at which point I will gladly post for you.
It will be a tough fixture for the Gunners to open up play, but by all suggestions they will have a healthy squad available – excluding Chambers and Torreira. This will leave Arteta with plenty to think about, especially on the left side where he will have to select between Kieran Tierney or Bakayo Saka for left back and Saka, Martinelli, or Aubameyang on the left wing.
On top of these starting lineup decision, it will be the first game that Arteta will have 5 substitutions at his disposal, which may offer him the opportunity to really change things up late in the game.
There has not been any official interview or correspondence with Arteta on how the return to training is going aside from some of the images Arsenal have posted online.
